Hastings L. and William A. French Building

Hastings L. and William A. French Building "French East" - 3202 Eden Avenue, Cincinnati Ohio 45267-0394

In 1998, the University of Cincinnati created the College of Allied Health Sciences. The college is the 16th college at the university and the first new college at the University of Cincinnati in over thirty years. The college consolidates education and training for health professionals in Communication Sciences, Genetic Counseling, Clinical Laboratory Science, Advanced Medical Imaging Technology, Nutrition, Physical Therapy, and Physical Therapy Assisting.

The college is newly located in the Hastings L. and William A. French Building. The new home brings all the allied health programs together on one campus. The proximity to the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing offer professional benefits to both students and faculty.

The University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center named the newly renovated building in honor of the generosity of Hastings L. and William A. French family. Hastings L. French started his career as a soap salesman for Procter & Gamble and eventually became the company's first Secretary. Hastings L. French passed away in 1914. His nephew, William A. French, later established "The Hastings L. French Research Fund for Cancer" in memory of his uncle.
