Admissions
All of our undergraduate majors, graduate degree programs and certificate options are designed to prepare you for a career in the exciting, growing world of the health professions. The College of Allied Health Sciences is part of UC's Academic Health Center - one of the preeminent medical education centers in the United States.
Minimum CAHS Admission Requirements for First-Year Students
Admissions to CAHS is competitive and it is recommended that the applicant complete the following college-prep curriculum for strongest consideration:
- 4 units of English
- 4 units of college-preparatory mathematics
- 3 units of science (biology, chemistry, physics, and/or anatomy & physiology for health-related programs)
- 3 units of social studies
- 5 units of electives*
* Elective units must include one or any combination of foreign language, fine arts, business, career-technical education, family and consumer sciences, technology, agricultural education or additional core courses not otherwise required.
First-year students are those who have not enrolled for college or university courses since graduating from high school. Please visit the admissions requirements page for more detailed information.

CAHS Admission Requirements for Transition Students
In order to be admitted to the following programs as a transition student (a current UC student in another college/major), you must meet the minimum GPA requirement for your intended major and any additional requirements listed.
