AuD in Audiology

About the Program

The program involves in-depth study of the disorders of communication related to hearing, coupled with practicum experiences in the areas of study. In order to provide the doctoral-level student with adequate advanced didactic and practicum experience with persons manifesting hearing disorders, four years of study is necessary, including summer terms and a one-year full-time fourth year clinical externship.

Audiology majors complete course work in psychoacoustics, hearing evaluation, hearing aids, habilitative audiology and speech and language disorders in order to prepare them to evaluate hearing disorders and provide appropriate management.

Doctor of Audiology students are eligible for the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, state licensing, and state certification as an educational audiologist upon completion of the program.

Check out our student achievement data, which features past student's graduation rates, exam pass rates and employment data.
