Health information Management (HIM) is the field dedicated to effective management of health information needed to deliver quality healthcare.

The profession encompasses planning, collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and disseminating individual patient and aggregate clinical data.

This Bachelor of Science program is designed as a progression program for those holding an associate degree in health information technology and want to progress to a four-year degree in health information administration. The distance learning program builds on knowledge and skills acquired thorough prior education and work experience.

Graduates of this program are eligible to take the RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) certification examination.
