EXTEND (Experience to Engage Nutrition & Dietetics Students)
The Department of Nutritional Sciences is pleased to introduce a dynamic new student program: EXTEND (Experience To Engage Nutrition & Dietetics students).
EXTEND enhances the value of our graduates through nutrition-focused work experiences during their undergraduate and graduate school years. What is learned in course work is translated into real-world situations, expanding students’ knowledge, leadership and critical thinking skills well beyond the classroom.
These experiences allow our students to build solid resumes that propel them to success beyond graduation. Whether the goal is a dietetic internship, meaningful employment or graduate school, EXTEND offers unique, not-to-be-missed opportunities to pave the way.
Participation in EXTEND is selective; only undergraduates who have reached junior academic standing and maintain a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and graduate students are considered. Qualified students are contacted regarding application procedures.
Employer partners represent the wide variety of job possibilities graduates seek and offerwork experiences that may be full-time, part-time or project based.
We wish to thank our EXTEND partners:
Employers new to EXTEND are encouraged to contact the department for more information contact: firstname.lastname@example.org or (513) 558-7503.
