Departmental Organizations
National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA)
NSSLHA is the national Organization for master's and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior. NSSLHA is the official national student association recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The membership is $35.00 which includes reduced fees at the ASHA convention and other educational meetings, the NSSLHA Journal and newsletter and other NSSLHA publications, The ASHA magazine and ASHA Leader, a choice of two ASHA journals, reduced application fee and dues when applying for professional membership in ASHA.
The Undergraduate Communication Disorders Association (UCDA) is the undergraduate chapter. Students meet approximately monthly for informal sessions about the profession.
Students may also become student members of the Ohio Speech and Hearing Association ($15.00) and the Southwestern Ohio Speech-Language Association ($5.00).

Student Dietetic Association (SDA)
A nutrition and dietetic student practice group at the University of Cincinnati that holds monthly meetings and organizes many health-related events in the community and on campus including an annual Nutrition Fair. A nominal quarterly fee is required.
Kappa Omicron Nu is a national honor society for students enrolled in fields related to consumer and family sciences. Benefits of membership include enhancement of leadership and educational skills, networking opportunities with students nationwide, and qualifying for scholarships, fellowships and grants.

Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist Assisting Organization
The purpose of this organization is to promote professional and social interaction between students, faculty, and community. We achieve these goals by enhancing physical therapy (PT) and physical therapist assisting (PTA) student interaction, improving communication between faculty and students, and promoting the University of Cincinnati through community activities. These activities expose the community to the University of Cincinnati PT/PTA program, while providing educational opportunities to our students.
