Meet Holly Gordon

About Holly

Holly has been working in The College of Allied Health Sciences for over 8 years.  She began as the as the program coordinator before transiting into an advising role.  Her friendly and outgoing personality made it easy for her to work with students.  Her background is in international business.  In her early days she travelled the world working in international sales.  She then stayed home to raise her two boys (1 UC grad and 1 current UC student) before going back into the work force.  Once again working she began to work with international students learning English as a Second Language for a private company.

Holly says the best part about her job is working with the students.  She loves to get to know who they are as a person.  It is especially rewarding when she sees them graduate and go on to fulfill their passions.

Holly has a bachelor’s degree from NKU in International Business.  She is fluent in Spanish and is knowledgeable of several other languages.  She was nominated and received the Academic Advisor of the Year award in May 2023.

In her spare time she loves to read, dance salsa and travel with her husband. Where will she be off to next?

Holly's Advising Philosophy

My goal is to treat students the way I want to be treated. I do my best to actively listen to the student and do what is in their best interest.

What’s your favorite season and why?

Holly’s favorite season is late spring, like May and June.  She does not like very hot weather and loves to see all colors of the flowers blooming.

Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents?

Holly has been a salsa dancer for 29 years.  She even preformed on different teams in Cincinnati.

Who would you see if you could attend any concert ever in history?

Holly would LOVE to see Cher.  She had tickets to her concert in 2020 but it was cancelled due to Covid. “If I could turn back time!”
