The first full week in November is National Allied Health Professions Week.
National Allied Health Week is a week dedicated toward our allied health professionals who hold a significant role in our health care system. Allied health professionals make a great influence on our health care by providing diagnostic evaluation, treatment to diseases and disorders, rehabilitation services and the management and operation of our health systems. The focus of this week is to promote the celebration of the 7 million health professionals represent nearly 60% of our health care work force.
So why choose allied health? The demand for allied healthcare workers are growing nearly twice as fast as the national economy, and the professions in the industry are increasing significantly from 15 million to 19 million.
