Presentations of Research and Innovative Scholarly Endeavors

The 2022 Presentations of Research and Innovative Scholarly Endeavors will be held on Tuesday, April 12th.

This event brings together student research projects from graduate students from across the college along with undergraduate students in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology, Health Information Management and Medical Laboratory Science. This event will also feature the Distinguished Alumni Awards.

All presentations will be recorded and uploaded to the digital program that will be available before and after PRaISE. 

PRaISE in-person

The agenda for the in-person PRaISE conference is as follows: 

Tuesday, April 12th 

  • 12:00-12:30: Opening Remarks 
  • 12:30-1:30: Distinguished Lectureship
  • 1:30- 2:30: Poster presentations 
  • 2:30- 3:30: Distinguished Alumni Awards
  • 3:30- 4:30: Poster presentations

Presentation Formats 

PRaISE 2022 will feature two presentation formats: poster presentations and podium presentations.

  1. Poster presentations will have an in-person option and be pre-recorded
  2. Podium presentations will be pre-recorded and available online only

All presentations are pre-recorded, and links will be available in the PRaISE program the day of the event. Please check with your program to ensure that you know the requirements before registering. 

All poster presentations will need to be recorded, uploaded to youtube, and captioned. You will have the option of also attending the in-person PRaISE conference to present your poster. If you register to present at the in-person conference must be available at your poster to answer questions for the entire 1-hour session; please use the approved 48 in H by 36 in W template to prepare your poster.

Recording Instructions

  1. Create a presentation that is around 10-minutes and record yourself presenting it (check with your program/mentor to see if they have any additional time requirements/preferences). There are no software restrictions you can use Kaltura, Quicktime, Powerpoint narration or any other recording software options. 
  2. Save the video file (MP4) on your desktop.
  3. Upload the video file to YouTube (you may need to create a channel).
  4. Turn on captions and edit them
  5. Copy URL of video location in YouTube and submit along with your poster. 

All podium presentations will need to be recorded, uploaded to Youtube and captioned. Podium presentations will not present live at PRaISE - QR codes placed at the conference will lead attendees to the pre-recorded presentations. Podium presentations should stay under 15 minutes in lengh and should use a presentation aid like powerpoint to go through data/images.

Registration

 Registration has been extended and is now open until Sunday, February 20th. 

What will I need to register?

You will be asked to submit your presentation type, student name(s) and email addreses, mentor names and email addresses, project title, a list of keywords associated with your project.

Printing and Project Submission

Final posters and final Youtube links of pre-recorded presentations are to be submitted by your mentor by March 27th. Posters will be printed by the CAHS CETIS Team and you will be notified when they are ready for pick-up in HSB. 

Late poster submissions will not be printed by CETIS team. If you miss the deadline, you must have your poster printed at another printing location (Staples, Kinkos, UC Printing Services) at your own cost.
