CAHS Scholarly Showcase

(Formerly the Presentations of Research and Innovative Scholarly Endeavors)

This celebratory event brings together student research projects from graduate students from across the college and undergraduate students in Advanced Medical Imaging Technology, Health Information Management, and Medical Laboratory Science. 

The 2024 CAHS Scholarly Showcase will be held on April 17th from 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM. 

Important Dates/Deadlines

Registration Opens: January 8th
Registration Closes: February 23rd
Poster Approval/Submission by Mentor for Printing: March 29th

Schedule of Events

Location: Health Sciences Building | University of Cincinnati 

Date: Wednesday, April 17th 

The agenda for the CAHS Scholarly Showcase is as follows: 

  • 11:30 AM: Check-in, Lunch 
  • 12:00 PM-12:15 PM: Opening Remarks
  • 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM Session A Posters and Presentations
  • 1:15 PM-2:15 PM: Distinguished Lectureship
  • 2:15 PM- 3:15 PM: Session B Posters and Presentations
  • 3:15 PM 3:30 PM:  Break
  • 3:30 PM-4:30 PM: Session C Posters and Presentations

Presentation Types

A poster presentation includes a traditional printed research poster that the student will stand next to and present to passing showcase attendees. Posters must be no larger than 36 inches wide ands 48 inches tall.  

Resources and Templates

A podium presentation will be lecture style presentation with the student presenting in front of a seated audience. Podium presentations should be no more than 10 minutes and students should be prepared for up to 5 minutes of Q&A after the presentation has concluded. Audio and Visual  technology should accompany the presentation (such as powerpoint, Canva ect).

Students doing a podium presentation should bring their presentation materials with them on a thumb drive.

What will I need to register for the CAHS Scholarly Showcase?

You will be asked to submit your presentation type, student name(s) and email addreses, mentor names and email addresses, project title, a list of keywords associated with your project.
