Teaching Adults Language and Knowledge for Life
GROUP THERAPY OBJECTIVES:
Participation in T.A.L.K Life will allow individuals to maintain and maximize their functional social communication abilities and quality of life through speech-language pathology and audiology services.
Who
T.A.L.K life is a socially interactive group focused on language, social skills, and job readiness for adults 18+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Candidates Should Be Able To:
- Actively participate in basic conversational exchange via any communciation modality
- Maintain alertness and attention for interactive group activites
- Assist in maintaining a safe group environment through use of positive emotions and behaviors
- Demonstrate an interest in improving communication and social interaction skills
When
A one-time initial assessement required prior to joining group.
Wednesdays 1:30-3:00pm in June and July for Summer 2024 semester
Cost
Initial assessment costs $80. Semester fee afterward is $155 for 8-12 sessions. Pro-rated for late add and needs based on scholarship available. Please contact the UC Clinic for further information.
