How to Apply
The University of Cincinnati Doctor of Physical Therapy program participates in PTCAS (Physical Therapist Centralized Application Service).
Transcripts, recommendation letters, observation/volunteer hour documentation, and essays will all be submitted through this application system. Reviews will start immediately in September. Candidates selected for the invited online, sychronous interview will hear from UC prior to the end of September. Interviews will take place in early October (dates TBD). Qualified applicants who are not interviewed will be added to the waitlist.
Application Deadlines
Applications open on the PTCAS website June 15 and close September 1st
All application materials including: recommendation letters, observation hours and transcripts must be completed by October 1st.
Students admitted to the program will start the summer semester following their fall application.
Early Assurance Programs
The DPT program offers two early admission opportunities to qualified students. High school seniors entering the UC Bachelor of Health Sciences – Pre-Physical Therapy program may apply to the High School Early Assurance Pathway and juniors may apply to the Junior Early Assurance Pathway. Students who maintain minimum requirements for these programs have a spot reserved in the DPT program when they graduate.
