  • Minimum of 50 hours of pre-professional supervised observation with an athletic trainer in a traditional setting or other related health care setting.
    • Due to COVID-19 an adjustment has been made to the observation hours requirement for the 2020/21 application cycle. Applicants will only need to have half of the hours completed by time they submit their application – giving them more time to complete this requirement. Applicants must complete 25 observation hours at the time of the application submission and complete an additional 25 observation hours prior to April 1, 2021.  Applicants who do not complete the total 50 observation hours by April 1, 2021 will have their admission decision rescinded.
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation (1 from an athletic trainer who supervised your pre-professional observation and 1 from a faculty member who can speak to your ability to succeed in graduate level studies).
  • Extended response essay describing professionalism and why you chose AT as your professional pathway.
