Jeromy Alt is the Clinical Coordinator in the Athletic Training Program at the University of Cincinnati. He is responsible for teaching core classes and overseeing the Clinical Education component in the Athletic Training Program. His previous experience includes serving as the Clinical Coordinator from 2002-2006 and Assistant Football Athletic Trainer from 1997-2002 at West Virginia University. He received a Master of Science in Athletic Training from West Virginia University while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 1995-1997. His Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, emphasis Athletic Training, was completed at Eastern Illinois University in 1995. Professionally, Jeromy serves as a CAATE site reviewer, Athletic Training Education Journal manuscript reviewer, and an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Instructor.

Dr. Pierce Boyne, PT, DPT, PhD, NCS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise Science and Nutritional Sciences. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Cincinnati in 2010, Neurologic Clinical Specialist certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2013 and his PhD in Epidemiology in 2017, examining aerobic exercise testing and training for people who have had a stroke. His current research aims to understand how the brain controls locomotion, how that control is affected by brain injuries like stroke and how to best intervene to facilitate walking recovery. Funding for this work has come from the UC Research Council, the Foundation for Physical Therapy, the American Heart Association, the Cincinnati Center for Clinical and Translational Science and Training, and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Boyne also co-directs the UC Neurorecovery Laboratory located in the Medical Sciences Building with other interdisciplinary stroke recovery researchers Dr. Oluwole Awosika in the COM (Neurology) and Dr. Aimee Dietz in CAHS (Communication Sciences and Disorders).

My name is Tom Herrmann and I am currently a Professor of Clinical in the Department of Rehabilitation, Exercise & Nutrition Sciences, College of Allied Health Sciences, University of Cincinnati.  I returned to the Unversity full time in 2005 after working in private physical therapy practices in Cincinnati.  My history at UC is long.  I served on the faculty of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in the UC College of Medicine from 1985-98, as a staff Athletic Trainer in the Department of Athletics from 1980-85, and off and on as an adjuct instructor in the UC College of Education.  I earned a BS in Physical Therapy from UC in 1997, an Educational Doctorate (EdD) from UC in 1986, and I have a collection of other degrees from UC and Eastern Kentucky University.  I hold Ohio licenses in Athletic Training (AT) and Physical Therapy (PT).  I also hold a national Athletic Training Certification (ATC), a Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Graston Technique Specialist (GTS) endorsement.  My teaching responsibilities include undergraduate classes in Introductory Biomechanics, Kinesiology, and a special topics seminar.  I also teach or co-teach courses in the Athletic Training program and Doctor of Physical Therapy program. I assist undergraduate and graduate students on capstone research projects when my area of expertise is required.

Lori McAleer has been with the University of Cincinnati since 2018, serving as an adjunct professor for two years before moving into the Pre-Occupational Therapy Director in November 2019.  Lori has been an occupational therapist since 2001 and have worked in virtually every setting an OT can work in, including home health, acute care, skilled nursing, acute rehab, outpatient pediatrics, and schools. She also worked as a licensed occupational therapist in Scotland (part of the United Kingdom) which was a fun and interesting experience.  Lori is currently acting as an assessor in the TRANSPORT II research study, a study that primarily looks at upper extremity function recovery for patients affected by stroke.

Lori has a Master's Degree in Health Administration and has worked in healthcare quality improvement, education, and project and grant management roles for several years.  She also did consulting work where she helped determine medical necessity of requested durable medical equipment.
