Early Assurance Pathways

The Doctor of Occupational Therapy program offers two early assurance pathways for on-campus health sciences students.

Occupational Therapy Therapy High School Early Assurance Pathway

The High School Early Assurance Pathway (HEAP) is for high school students who have been admitted into the Health Sciences - Pre-Occupational Therapy program who would like to secure their spot early for UC's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. Acceptance to the pathway is limited to highly qualified incoming first year students only, and students are admitted to the pathway in the fall semester only.

Occupational Therapy Junior Early Assurance Pathway

The Junior Early Assurance Pathway (JEAP) allows high achieving on-campus health sciences students in the UC College of Allied Health Sciences to apply for early admission into the Doctor of Occupational Therapy  program during their junior year. Students should be junior level standing in the on-campus Health Sciences program at UC and must have been a UC student (regardless of major or campus) as an entering first-year student.

A Junior Early Assurance Pathway option is also available to our online Health Sciences - Pre-Occupational Therapy students.
