Junior Early Assurance Pathway

An Early Assurance Pathway into UC's Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program for juniors

High achieving health sciences students in the UC College of Allied Health Sciences are eligible to apply for early admission into the Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program during their junior year via the Junior Early Assurance Pathway (JEAP).

Students should have:

  • Junior level standing in the Health Sciences - Pre-Occupational Therapy program 
  • Entered UC as a first-year student in any major or campus 

The major advantage of the Junior Early Assurance Pathway is that the successful applicant has a position in the MOT program held for them. Other advantages to early admission are 1) early and direct communication with the MOT faculty, and 2) the opportunity to enjoy their senior year without the pressure and expense of applying to multiple graduate schools.

Application Requirements

Admission in the Junior Early Assurance Pathway is based on the following:

Submission of the MOT JEAP online application

Recommendation Letters are due on May 15  In order to ensure timely responses from your recommender, please fill out the MOT JEAP Recommender Form at least 2 weeks prior to the deadline.  An email will be sent to each of your recommenders with details on how to complete their online recommendation.

 

Applicants will need to have cumulative GPA at or above 3.5.

Applicants must have a C or higher in all the Master of Occupational Therapy prerequsite courses in order to be eligible for the MOT program. You can find a list of these courses on the Master of Occupational Therapy Admission Requirements page.

You are required to submit two (2) letters of recommendation.The first letter should be from someone who can attest to your character and/or desire to be an occupational therapist.  The second letter must be from a Health Science faculty member.

Complete the MOT JEAP Recommender Form below to indicate your recommenders.  An email will be sent to each of your recommenders with details on how to complete their online recommendation.
