Scholarships

The University of Cincinnati Speech-Language Pathology program offers a variety of scholarships that are awarded to students based on the quality of their academic record and performance in the program each year. There is not a separate application process for these scholarships; they are awarded automatically based on your admissions application.

The mission of the Albert C. Yates Fellowship Program at the University of Cincinnati is support the recruitment and retention of students with high potential for academic success to graduate programs at the University of Cincinnati.

Established February 2016 by ​the Ferrier family in honor of their daughter, Christina, who was an exceptional SLP graduate student and avid community volunteer.

Provides scholarships to graduate students enrolled in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders program in Speech Language Pathology with preference given to students enrolled in the Distance Learning Program.

Established in 2024, The purpose of this gift is to establish the Debra L. Spearman Scholarship Fund for SLP Students. To support students who have demonstrated a financial need.

To provide scholarships for students in Speech and Theater Arts.

The Graduate Incentive Award is funded by the Graduate School. The appointing program sends scholarship offers to students who apply to the program, including information about the amount and duration of the award and the terms of the offer. Students must maintain all of the required eligibility requirements in their offer letter to maintain their tuition scholarship.

Established in 2022, The purpose of this gift is to establish the Gregory Paul Jacoby Scholarship Fund for speech Language Pathology Students

Julia Glore was a student in our program who lost her life in a tragic accident during her second year in the program. Her family and friends endowed this memorial fund to provide an award for a student who, like Julia, came to the SLP program after working in another field, and excelled during graduate school – especially in working with and caring about clients

Established in 2008 by Katie’s family and friends in her memory after a tragic car accident. Katie was an alumna who earned a BS & MS in SLP. She was a single mom who exemplified determination and resilience in her pursuit of an education. This award continues her spirit in support of others. Provides tuition assistance to students in the College of Allied Health Sciences’ Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Preparing Early Intervention Providers for the Opioid Epidemic (PEPOpE) is an interdisciplinary training program for master’s level students in the College of Allied Health at the University of Cincinnati studying occupational therapy (OT), social work (SW), and speech-language pathology (SLP). The program will prepare 42 students to be highly effective and highly qualified allied health professionals prepared to meet the needs of children with intra-uterine opioid exposure (IOE) and their families. Students earn a stipend for participation of the program. 

Provides emergency funds for currently enrolled CAHS students who are in good standing and experiencing financial need. Recipient(s) can be undergraduate or graduate students.  Submit online Emergency Scholarship Application
